INSPIRE (International Symposium on Social, Cultural, and Religious Literacy) is an international academic forum initiated as an intellectual program by the Majelis Pustaka dan Informasi (MPI), Pimpinan Wilayah Muhammadiyah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (PWM DIY). INSPIRE was established as a platform to strengthen global academic collaboration and foster critical discussions on contemporary issues related to social, cultural, and religious literacy in the digital era.
The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed the way individuals interact, access information, construct identities, and understand social and religious realities. Along with these opportunities, new challenges have emerged, including misinformation, cultural fragmentation, digital polarization, and declining literacy awareness in various dimensions of society.
Recognizing these challenges, INSPIRE aims to bring together academics, researchers, educator , practitioners, policymakers, and students from various countries and disciplines to exchange ideas, share research findings, and build meaningful collaborations. Through interdisciplinary dialogue and scientific engagement, INSPIRE seeks to contribute to the development of knowledge and the strengthening of a more inclusive, informed, and civilized global society.
With the spirit of βConnecting Knowledge, Strengthening Civilization,β INSPIRE aspires to become a sustainable international academic platform that promotes intellectual growth, innovation, and collaborative solutions for the future.
